It’s summer in the capital and all the tourists have arrived.

We headed down town for a lunch date and to enjoy the sights of tulipfest.

I love dates with my husband.

 They were BEAUTIFUL!

Oliver is loving the warmer weather because that means he doesn’t have to wear pants. OH SO CUTE.

Friday was great for the following reasons.

1. New magazines.

2. Orange gerber daisies from the husband. Oh How I love daisies.

3. A lunch date with dad and trying to fit the car seat in the convertible.

 And it ended with a movie night and chocolate biscotti. yummm

I can’t wait to spend some time with my husband and baby this weekend!

I had kinda a crappy day yesterday so the Mr brought me out for cupcakes to cheer me  up. It worked too! Well until I realized I lost 25 bucks and my sewing machine decided to crap out on me mid diaper cover (Hey mom! Do you mind if I come use yours? )

They were delicious and vegan (banana maple and chocolate raspberry with marshmallow frosting)

After we got in the car I reached in my purse and pulled out the home phone? I really need my cell phone back.

We a are all feeling a little lazy around there parts……..

…..even she wont get out of bed.

a little post vacation blues

We took a very last minute trip to Florida to visit with Andrews Pepere. We were nervous flying with a baby for the first time but Oliver was a champ! He slept for most of the flight. It was a lovely trip .The ocean and sunshine did us all good. We spent most of our time just relaxing, napping and spending time with each other. We got some fun treasures at the flea market. (The Daytona flea market really has the best people watching).

Here’s hoping Pop’s can fix my phone for me so I can take some photo’s of my own!

My naked baby is squeaking in his crib, the tired dog is sleeping on the floor beside me, cloth diaper’s are drying on the line and  there is a warm breeze coming in through my window. I really am the luckiest girl alive.

I wanted to win this play house at the home show for Oliver so bad

I don’t think I did though.

Mom I’m so done here and way to little for a play house.

Oliver turned four months on Friday, to celebrate we took him to the doctors to get his shots. Poor little guy was not happy about it.

At four months

-Still long and lean (my little string bean)

-You love to smile and giggle but are unsure of strangers.

-You love to kick and will scoot yourself right of the change table if we are not careful.

-You LOVE to nurse (I think you would do it all the time if I let you)

-Would love to sit up and try so hard!

-Still hate tummy time

-Sophie is your favorite toy and peek-a-boo is HILARIOUS.

- You are one loud baby and love to chat and make noise (especially early in the morning).

We spent the week getting the most out of the summer weather. I finished two books, meet friends for a picnic in the park, and BBQ-ed every day. It was such a treat. The tree’s have buds on them and my  tulips are coming up. It sure doesn’t feel like March, but I think we are ready for spring now.  I think Lucy will miss this Spring weather most of all.

It’s official. I lost my phone. I’m  heartbroken. Not because it was brand new (less then four months! and the first one I have EVER lost) but because of all the photo’s and video’s of newborn Oliver on it. It makes me want to cry just thinking about it
